Terms & Conditions
PAYMENT A non-refundable booking deposit of £200.00 per week is required within 7 days of confirmation of your provisional.
A booking may be treated as having lapsed if the outstanding amount has not been paid in full, one full month before the arrival date.
The owners reserve the right to refuse entry if full payment has not been received, and to cancel the booking and re-let the property to alternative guests if full payment is not received one full month prior to the start of the booked period.
We strongly advise that guests take out holiday insurance.
CANCELLATION In the event of a cancellation we cannot in any circumstances return the deposit. If we manage to re-let The Smithy for the booked period, at the full rate, we will return any balance already paid.
In other circumstances, partial refunds will be made available at the owner’s discretion. We strongly advise that guests take out holiday insurance.
ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE TIMES Rental periods begin 4pm Friday and end 10am Friday of departure date.
Please ensure that you vacate the house by 10am on the agreed day of departure so that sufficient time is available for preparing the house for the next visitors.
BEDLINEN All beds have duvets and full bed linen is provided.
No bath towels or bath mats are provided.
CLEANING Cleaning materials are provided so that guests can leave The Smithy as clean as they found it. (We reserve the right to charge guests for extra cleaning, should the property require it, on departure - hence the £150.00 good housekeeping deposit which will be returned provided the property is undamaged, no breakages, and left in the same state of cleanliness as it was on arrival.
No more than 2 well behaved dogs are permitted by arrangement and on the understanding that they do not get onto furniture, do not go upstairs (there is a stair gate at the top of the stairs for this purpose) are not left unattended in the house at any time, and they are wormed and treated for fleas before arrival.
Pet owners must ensure they clean up after their pets in the garden.
Please respect the livestock and keep all dogs on a lead if near sheep, especially during lambing season.
SMOKING We are a non smoking family and only permit smoking in the kitchen.
The property to be used solely for the purposes of self catering holiday accommodation and to accept the owner's right to refuse entry to the property of any person considered unsuitable to take charge.
The owner shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or mishap to persons, possessions or property whilst using the premises or for any illness or injury arising from any cause whatsoever.
Should the property become unavailable or unsuitable for letting purposes subsequent to booking through any cause, the owner's liability shall be limited to the amount of rent paid.
The owners or their agents to be allowed access to the property at all reasonable times. |
